Judge Orders Attorney to Hand Over New Orleans City Council E-mails

In a significant ruling, Steven Lane, managing partner of Herman, Herman, Katz & Cotlar, as counsel to the New Orleans City Council, obtained a court order protecting attorney/client and other privilege of the New Orleans City Council. The City Council's e-mails had been obtained by an attorney without knowledge or approval of the City Council. The documents in question are to be provided to Judge Lloyd Medley, Jr. by noon Friday, March 13th. Judge Medley will then decide which documents should be produced.
