A recently-passed bill will give both the FDA and ultimately, consumers, more knowledge and more power in the area of new drug safety. This new law will allow the FDA to dictate what claims companies can make about the drugs they sell, and more importantly, require manufacturers to perform and follow-through with clinical trials even AFTER the drug is approved.
